Masters Students operate on a sliding fee scale based on employment to ensure we can meet the needs of our community.
These sessions are typically $50 per hour (rather than $126) for Individual Counselling and $75 per hour (rather than $140) for Couples & Family Counselling.
We can reduce the rate from $0-$50 depending on client circumstances.

Initial massage assessment- The initial massage therapy assessment and treatment are for first time massage therapy Patients to West Kootenay Wellness Centre.
It includes Health history and assessment, hands- on treatment as well as homeware and patient education.

Additional Information
We are a small, fee-for-service clinic, meaning that we collect payment at the time of service (cash, credit card, check).
We offer direct billing through most extended health insurance plans!
How it Works
If your extended health benefits cover registered massage therapy we are able to file an electronic claim on your behalf. The portion that is covered by your plan will be paid directly to your therapist.
What you need to do
- Check your insurance coverage to confirm massage therapy is a covered expense and whether your plan allows direct billing (please keep in mind that some plans may require that you have a doctor’s note)
- Provide insurance details in your intake form and sign an electronic submission consent form at your appointment.
Please note: We cannot guarantee direct billing at every appointment. This could be due to issues with the submission portal, individual insurance plans or clinic administration considerations.
You are ultimately responsible for any difference between the actual treatment fee and the amount covered by your insurance. Please bring an alternate form of payment in case there is a problem with the transaction
Cancellation Policy
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A missed visit of a late cancelation leaves gaps in the therapists day that could otherwise have been filled by another patient. We require a 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee.
