Individual, Couples and Family Counsellor
Emily is a Yorkville University Master of Counselling Psychology graduate student with a passion for chronic pain management, personal development and goal setting, stress/anxiety, as well as the various mental and emotional experiences that come with end-of-life care. Emily has been involved with a chronic pain management program for several years and is inspired to help those living with pain learn strategies to reduce the effect pain has on their social, emotional, and psychological well-being. She is also interested in helping clients work through everyday challenges with stress and anxiety.
Emily has studied gerontology and aging in Canada and has years of experience working with the elderly and those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. She is interested in providing support to the terminally ill and their families, as well as working with people on habit forming/breaking, and goal setting using cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, solution focused therapy, and family systems theories.
